Shikamaru, labeled The Lazy Genius, is a camper on Season One of Total Drama Naruto Lyoko and was placed on the Screaming Gophers.

In Cliffhangers, Shikamaru arrived, immediately complaining about being on the show when he got off the boat. Ino and Choji happily greeted him, but he only complained more, saying that doing the show was Ino's idea in the first place. This prompted Temari to greet him by pointing out his complaining. This shocked Shikamaru and for him to state that her being there would make the show a giant problem. When it was his turn to jump during the challenge, refused to jump, saying it was too much of a drag and recieved a chicken hat. When Choji activated his Human Boulder Technique and rolled off of the cliff, Shikamaru and Ino warned everyone to run as the knew what was going to happen. His team won the challenge and he cheered at the hot tub party.

In Insomniacs, after Odd said Temari creeps him out, Shikamaru told him that he'd get used to it. He did not speak for the rest of the episode, but was one of the ninja that were shocked to see Mayu debut.

In Beast Ball, when Yumi walked into the mess hall, Shikamaru and the other Gophers cheered her for winning the Awake-a-thon challenge in the previous episode. After Beast Boy explained dodgeball to the Leaf ninja, Shikamaru decided to sit the game out, since it was too much of a drag for him. This later caused his elimination, as he was voted off that night for his laziness. Before walking the Dock of Shame, he told his team that they had just voted off the smartest person on the team which Jeremy found insulting, saying he was also smart.
